In this post (and the video linked below), I’m sharing my Gillio unboxing experience, a quick flip-through of how I’ve set it up, and some honest thoughts on whether it lives up to the hype.
If you’re part of the planner world, you already know – Gillio isn’t just a planner cover. It’s a dream. And after years of swooning over photos and stalking restock alerts, my unicorn planner finally arrived.

First Impressions
The leather. The smell. The craftsmanship. It truly is everything I hoped for and more. I chose the Medium Compagna in Epoca Undyed leather, and I can’t stop staring at it. It’s soft, luxurious, and feels like something I’ll treasure for years.
How I’ve Set It Up
I’m currently using it as a catchall planner, and if you want a more detailed look at each section, check out my video below. I kept it functional but still fun, because let’s be real, that’s half the joy of ring planning!
The first section is my agenda, and this is where I keep a year at a glance, monthly, and weekly planner.
Next is my Self Care sections which has my Daily Positive Affirmations, Vision Board and a few trackers.
Then there’s my Daily section, it’s where I write a to-do list, but only on the days I actually need one. I also keep a dedicated space for my photography project lists.
I love how my tabs keep everything organized! They make it so easy to flip between sections. Plus, they look clean and polished, which just makes the whole planner feel put together.
Is It Worth It?
For me, yes. 100% yes. The price point is high, but you’re getting quality, craftsmanship, and a planner cover that actually makes you want to slow down and plan. If you’ve been considering a Gillio, I hope this post (and video) helps you decide if it’s right for you.
