We are a few weeks into the new year, so that means it’s time for a Common Planner update!
I figured it was time for a Common Planner Update, especially since we are already a few weeks into the new year!
Common Planner Update
Let’s start with the monthly spread
I accidentally put down the washi strip on the left quite crooked, but we are going with it!
In this spread, I keep track of appointments and special events, like my birthday ๐.
When things change, I usually draw a line through it. That way, I can always refer back to when something was “supposed” to be scheduled. I will only use whiteout when I need to write something else in the date block.
Next up are the weekly spreads
This spread is a must when I am choosing a planner.
I had a few fumbles the first day working in the Common Planner, but I quickly recovered and have loved how these weekly pages are turning out.
I honestly don’t know if I will keep creating a tracker in the left common. At the moment, I feel like it’s too time-consuming, but we shall see. I do like the way it looks!
I do like having a Focus section; I just have to get better at writing it down at the beginning of the week.
The daily pages
I LOVE the daily pages. They are the perfect size!
They are undated, so I can skip days if needed, and I can change the layout to serve my needs.
I also tipped in one of Sterling Inks beautiful free monthly calendar printables.
On January 1st, I drew a timeline, like in the Hbonichi Cousin, but in the days that followed, I found inspiration from The Coffee Monsterz Co.
I feel like there is the perfect amount of space to fit all of my to-do’s, and still room for journaling. But not an overwhelming amount like in the Hobonochi Cousin A5.
I have even started to add photos! On the left, I used my Canon Ivy, and on the right, I just printed out a photo from my regular home printer.
I honestly like the home print better, because the Canon Ivy print makes my page bow too much.
Check out my video for more thoughts and what planner supplies I have been using in my Common Planner.

I love this post although I know it’s from a bit ago. It is so hard to find inspiration from people who do not use a bunch of stickers in their planner. I am a functional planner only and I love the simple layout of your whiles still adding in some different font for emphasis. Thank you so much for sharing your pictures of your planner, it really does help inspire me! I am going to see if you have a Youtube channel just in case, I want to show my support.

AmyI’m so happy that sharing my planner has inspired you ๐ค I appreciate your support and I hope you find what works for you in 2025! Im hoping to have more time to share on my blog again, but because I don’t change my planning methods very often, I feel like i am just posting the same things over and over, lol.

Sorry, obviously you do have a Youtube channel, I just flew by the video without paying attention!
