How it All Started

Hi, I’m Dia! Welcome to my corner of the internet where I share all things planning, wellness, and running life. I’ve been a planner lover since I was a kid (I still remember obsessing over a clear ring binder planner at Barnes & Noble. Sadly, I never got it). My real journey began when I bought my first Franklin Covey planner, and from that moment on, I was hooked. What started as a way to manage a big family and business turned into a lifestyle. One grounded in structure, self-reflection, and personal growth. For years, I balanced raising six kids while running a full-time photography business. Life was busy, messy, beautiful, and often overwhelming, but writing everything down helped me stay grounded. My planner wasn’t just a tool… it was my lifeline.

Over time, my planning style evolved, and so did I. I learned that productivity isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing what matters. And that the best system is the one that works for you, right now. I still love pen and paper, but I also mix in digital tools when they make sense. Now, as a runner (and ultrarunner!), wellness has become a huge part of my story too. Planning doesn’t just help me manage my schedule, it helps me train smarter, recover better, and make time for the things that fuel me inside and out. Whether I’m sharing a race recap, a weekly meal plan, or my latest planner setup, my hope is that something here inspires you to live a more intentional life. You’ll also find cozy routines, favorite hobbies, and reflections from my everyday life. Let’s plan, run, and grow together!

Get to Know Me

  • Fun Fact #1: My favorite time of day is the morning. I wake up at 5:00 am every day, even on weekends! I love the quiet, watching the sunrise, and knowing I’ve accomplished more before most people have even woken up, lol.
  • Fun Fact #2: If I could watch only one show for the rest of my life, it would definitely be The Big Bang Theory.
  • Fun Fact #3: I’m a huge introvert, but I love sharing bits of my life and connecting with others through YouTube, Instagram, and my blog.
  • Fun Fact #4: We’re technically empty nesters—but two of our kids moved back in to save for houses, so the nest isn’t quite as empty as it used to be!
  • Fun Fact #5: I’m passionate about ultra running and love challenging myself with long-distance trail races. Training for these races requires hours of dedication, but staying organized allows me to balance it all. Whether it’s scheduling early-morning runs, meal prepping, or planning rest days, my trusty planners make it possible to pursue my running goals without sacrificing other parts of my life.
