I know it’s been awhile, but here is a 2023 May Flip Through in my Sterling Ink Common Planner.
Check out my 2023 May Flip Through in my Common Planner by Sterling Ink.
We are almost half way through the year and I am still going strong in this planner. Near the beginning of the year I felt tempted to go back to the Hobonichi Cousin, but the B6 is my ideal size, and this planner is just so gorgeous and fun to hold.
2023 May Flip Through
Monthly View
My monthly view is pretty basic. I just keep shoots, appointments and special occasions on this spread, but I only refer to it about twice a month. It’s just a hard copy of what I already have in my phone calendar. When I am planning out me week I will usually just look at my phone, but when I need to look back on a month, I find it easier to do in this paper view.
Weekly View
My constant weekly struggle is trying to figure out what to put in the left hand side bar. Sometimes I put stickers, sometimes I doodle or use trackers, but lately I have just been leaving it blank.
Daily View
The one thing that I wish this planner had, is predated daily pages. Sometimes I like to skip ahead to a specific date and add a task or appointment, but since I have to draw in the days on my own, I only do about a week at a time.
I was fiddling with a few layouts this month in my daily pages. I know they all look the same to most people, but there are some subtle changes.
Since I started daily journaling in the Common Planner, my Traveler’s Notebook has become more of the occasional junk journal. I really miss stuffing my journal with ephemera and pictures, but I just can’t get myself to do that in this planner because I also use it for planning. And if you can’t yell, I am a very minimal planner.
I do like to sneak in some ephemera, but it is usually printed on regular paper so that I don’t bulk up my planner.
So there you have it! May in my Sterling Ink Common Planner. Let me know if you have any questions about my planner, or how I plan my life. See you next time!
